The comprehensive education for all-round civil engineers combines engineering, construction, legal and soft skills. In this degree program you will expand your already acquired skills and will also have the opportunity to select an individual specialization. Thus, the master's degree program will prepare you for the high-demand areas of the construction sector: national and international large-scale projects and resource-efficient and sustainable construction and renovation. It is not possible to save incomplete online applications. You must complete your application in one session. Your application will be valid as soon as you upload all of the required documents and certificates. In the event that some documents (e.g. references) are not available at the time you apply, you may submit these later via e-mail, mail or in person by no later than the start of the degree program.
The admission procedure consists of a written test and an interview with the admission committee.
You will receive the invitation to the admission procedure after a positive review of all relevant documents. You will receive the exact date and schedule for the admission interviews approximately one week before the assigned interview date. The dates are assigned and cannot be freely chosen. Depending on the number of applicants, additional admission appointments may be scheduled.
The admission interviews take place online.
FH Campus Wien has more than fifteen years of experience running civil engineering degree programs and today has extensive expertise and a large network at its disposal that will provide you with a wide range of opportunities during your studies and in the course of your professional career. This network includes leading contractors such as STRABAG SE, which cooperate with FH Campus Wien not only in the context of training for their employees. In addition to excellent contacts in the construction industry, during your studies you will have the opportunity to work in R&D projects and thus shape the dialogue between practice and science at FH Campus Wien. For example, on behalf of ASFINAG we are currently examining the advantages and disadvantages of different organizational structures in intermodal transport networks. This project is being conducted as part of the PIARC, the World Road Association. Practical orientation is a top priority in the teaching. In addition, we regularly invite you to further your education in the seminar series "Selected Chapters from Construction Practice". Practical relevance is also guaranteed at our Campus Lectures, public lecture evenings with prominent experts, that FH Campus Wien regularly invites you to join.
The combination of structural engineering, economics and soft skills makes this generalist degree program a practical education for all-round civil engineers. As a graduate, you are up to the demanding tasks of construction site project management and can immediately take on a role in any construction company. The master's degree program offers you the opportunity to acquire comprehensive experience as an all-round civil engineer. You will expand your engineering, construction and legal foundations. Furthermore, you will also have the chance to select an individual specialization.
In the second and third semesters you will be able to decide on a total of two of the four specializations in "Construction", "Repair and Revitalization", "Infrastructure Construction" and "Sustainability in Civil Engineering". Your personality plays an important role at work, so you will also further develop your soft skills.

As a well-trained civil engineer, you will help to plan or implement construction projects. For example, you can work as a site manager. Overall, you have a wide range of professional opportunities open to you on the client or contractor side: in construction companies, which include the entire construction industry, master builders, steel, light metal and wood construction companies, construction related trades, renovation and revitalization companies and the building materials industry, as well as in construction departments of local authorities, banks or insurance companies. You can also expect good career prospects in civil engineering and planning offices.
We closely cooperate with renowned companies in commerce and industry, universities, institutions and schools. This ensures that you have points of contact for professional internships, job opportunities or your participation in research and development activities. Major players in the construction industry such as the PORR Group, STRABAG SE or ÖBB-Infrastruktur AG will support you in various funding programs, provide insights into professional practice, offer the chance of rare part-time jobs or accompany you with professional expertise and collegial advice.
