A) Physiotherapy:

- The physiotherapeutic process in psychiatric and psychosomatic disorders
- Emphasis on general and specific treatment goals and techniques in theory and practice (personal experience and reflection)
- Individual and group therapy. Characteristics, indications and contraindications
- Therapeutic attitude and therapeutic relationship
- Specific assessments and a glance at current evidence

B) Clincal lectures:

Lectures about the following disorders (ICD10) regarding epidemiology, aetiology, symptoms (psychopathology), course, prognosis, diagnostics, therapy:
- Schizophrenia
- Affective disorders
- Neurotic, stress-related and somatoform disorders
- Eating disorders
- Personality disorders (emotionally unstable)
- Dementia
- Psychoactive substance use and addiction

Lecture contents

Students will be stimulated to combine and apply the obtained knowledge and skills from previous lectures to real models. The analysis from the assessment results, the identification of functional and structural problems, and the application of all physiotherapeutic skills obtained so far, is the main content of this course.
The physiotherapy action is supported by research of current scientific literature and thus provides a connection to evidence-based physiotherapy.
Counselling in a physiotherapeutic context should deepen the ability to represent the own Profession.

Offering stimuli to cause sensations, mental states, feelings, moods, atmosphere and to enable the perception and idea of one's own body. The students experience themselves physically in the context of their social and objective environment:
alone and with several persons
in different starting positions
in different situations
in a resting or relaxing position and moving around the room
one or two at a time, in groups
without and with manual contact
using exercise material and/or media
