Definition and limits of intensive care medicine; teamwork; indications of admission on an intensive care unit (ICU); European Resuscitation Council (ERC) Guidlines 2010; monitoring, basics of invasive and non-invasive ventilation therapy (Technics and monitoring); basics of pharmacology and nutrition of ICU Patients; selected disease patterns;
principles of physiotherapy in the intensive care setting; Effects of monitoring and mechanical ventilation on the patients; communication and interaction with intensive care patients; interpretation and reconsideration of assessment outcomes, monitoring datas and mechanical ventilation parameters for the therapy; handling of intensive care patients and their surrounding; problem-oriented conductance of basic treatment measures; selection of criterias for and conductance of specific treatment measures in selected intensive care problems (with special emphasis on respiratory measures including theory and practice in suctionning);

Movement analysis of characteristic daily life movement incl. bending forward

Practical execution of posture and movement analysis
