- General oncology, tumour epidemiology, cancer prevention, screening, early detection.
- Pathology of malignant tumours and other neoplasms, the clinical appearance of neoplastic diseases, the diagnostic procedures as well as the classification, stage classification and prognostic factors of malignant diseases.
- Principles of cancer treatment taking into account surgical treatment, radiation treatment, chemotherapy, endocrine therapy and other forms of treatment.
- Treatment goal and choice of therapy modality (modalities) and accompanying treatment measures, taking into account quality of life and terminal care and aftercare of patients.
- Optimal radiotherapy in relation to the type of disease and localisation.

- Creation and further processing of image data relevant for irradiation planning.

- Radioonocological definitions and examples of Organs at Risks and Planning Target Volumes as well as possibilities to contour them.

- Use of various irradiation techniques, irradiation parameters and types of radiation to create an individual irradiation plan according to international standards.

Optimization and analysis of irradiation plans with regard to dose distribution in teletherapeutic treatments.
