In addition, students gain an overview of the most important additive manufacturing processes used in industry. The entire process chain is considered from the idea through the first CAD designs to the finished, finished finished product. • Basic concepts of Computer-Aided Product Development (CAPD) • Geometric modeling • feature-based modeling • visualization • Virtual and Augmented Reality • data exchange • Information and PDM systems • Simulation and Virtual Prototyping •Optimization • Introduction to rapid prototyping and knowledge-based systemsAssessment methodsContinuous assessment LV-immanent examination (1/3 oral exam, 2/3 written exam)Teaching methodsFrontal lecture alternates with group work and flipped classroom approaches, preparation and poster presentation of a subject-specific topic by the students.LanguageEnglish> Bionik und Additive Manufacturing ILV High Tech Manufacturing moreBionik und Additive Manufacturing ILVLector: Matthias Figl, BSc MSc1.5SWS3ECTSLecture contentsThe course gives an overview of the so-called additive design, the design of components and assemblies for manufacturing by suitable methods of additive manufacturing. With suitable software tools for topology and structure optimization, the handling and execution of complex optimization tasks with regard to bionic design is shown on CAD designs. The solution of a complex optimization task as well as the selection of a suitable manufacturing process are explained.Assessment methodsContinuous assessmentTeaching methodsFrontal lecture alternates with group work and flipped classroom approaches, preparation and presentation of a subject-specific topic by the students.LanguageEnglish> Photonische Bearbeitungsverfahren ILV High Tech Manufacturing morePhotonische Bearbeitungsverfahren ILVLector: Sebastian Geyer, BSc MSc, Dr. Johannes Homa1SWS2ECTSLecture contents- Overview and basics, modern process approaches for laser-based additive manufacturing. - Photonic sintering of plastics (EOS system) and application - Photonic exposure of photopolymers (Cubicure, Lithoz)Assessment methodsContinuous assessment Project work with three different process-specific component developments.Teaching methodsLecture with PowerPoint slides, installation of case studies from practice as well as from research projects (examples from Selective Laser Sintering, Hot Lithography and Lithography based Ceramic Manufacturing, among others).
