Lecture contents

The lecture on the subject Clinical Chemistry is including but not limited to the following chapters: Introduction to Medical Diagnostics, Enzymes of Muscle, Liver and Pancreas, Cardiac Diagnostics, Kidney Function Tests, Electrolytes, Metabolism of Iron, Lipids, Lipoprotein Cholesterol, Glucose, HbA1c, Blood Gases, Acid-Base Metabolism, Diagnostics of Inflammation and Diagnostics of Proteins.
The most important analytes are discussed with regard to pathophysiology, indication, interpretation, differential diagnosis and preanalysis.

Assessment methods

There is an examination at the end of the lecture, which will be held as a single choice test.
