Lecture contents

Explanations and connections of organ-specific functions and deduction of related laboratory-analytical parameters based on case studies. Based on case studies the students work on self-defined learning objectives compared with the tutor´s learning objectives and present the results. Examples: case studies on cardiovascular system, gastrointestinal system, carbohydrate and lipo-metabolism.

Microscopic differentiation of blood and bone marrow cells, diagnostics of haematological diseases such as anemia, reactive-leucocytic changes, myelodysplastic syndromes, myeloproliferative syndromes, lymphoproliferative diseases, acute leucemia, thrombocytic diseases and parasitic diseases.
