The redevelopment of real estate is an everyday activity in the property sector. An understanding of civil engineering and costing is required to carry out a professional assessment of the technical condition of a building and determine the best solution for redeveloping the property in a cost-effective and environmentally sound manner. Among other things, this program focuses on giving you the knowledge of civil engineering required for classic property development and assessment.

You have an interest in the real estate sector and wish to develop your career in this area. You are aware that in a real estate role, you will be required to address issues of construction and redevelopment and take decisions on technical solutions. You would like to acquire the necessary skills to perform such a role. Taking an interdisciplinary and long-term approach, you are capable of considering situations from every angle. Although this program does not require a prior knowledge of civil engineering, an inquisitive mind is a key prerequisite.
In the 15 years and more that FH Campus Wien has been running civil engineering programs, the university of applied sciences has built up a wealth of expertise and a broad network that offers you numerous possibilities both during your program and in your subsequent professional life. This network includes construction firms such as STRABAG SE, which cooperates with FH Campus Wien in the further education of its staff and other areas. The specialist areas we have developed over many years range from construction management to sustainability. Students in the academic course benefit from our in-house expertise in the interface between the real estate business and sustainable civil engineering. Aside from interdisciplinary theory, practical relevance is our top priority. During the program, you will learn to apply knowledge to practical projects. Practical relevance is also guaranteed at our Campus Lecture evenings, which are open to all and feature contributions from prominent experts.

Equivalence is determined by international agreements, validation or in individual cases a decision by the head of the academic section. In specific cases the head of the program may formally recognize a qualification.
Minimum age 20 (with three years of vocational school) or 22 years. You may have obtained your vocational qualification through a pertinent apprenticeship, foreman examination or verifiable occupation within the construction sector.

In the event that some documents (e.g. references) are not available at the time you apply, you may submit these later via email, mail or in person by no later than the start of the degree program.
The selection process consists of an interview with the selection committee.
