You may be working in the public sector already. You wish to complement your extensive experience with theoretical know-how and advance your professional career. You certainly have an interest in this field, even should you not have any professional experience yet. You are keen to learn more about government, law and economics. The government is a service provider in many fields, with economic and service-oriented responsibilities. To you, this means meeting citizens eye to eye. Processes to you equates to benefits to users and the potential of saving resources. Public Management to you is a challenge in terms of creativity and communication which you readily accept. You would like with your know-how to contribute to improving the interfaces between local authorities, international and EU institutions on the one hand and the public sector and private companies on the other.
Since we are located in the Oktogon at Schloss Laudon in the 14th District of Vienna, together with the Federal Academy of Public Administration, you stand to benefit from our most important cooperation partner, the Federal Chancellery. Numerous experts in Federal Government and others from divested companies lecture in our degree programs. The Public Management program is an academic program tailored to suit the public sector and was developed together with the Federal Chancellery; it is practice-oriented and comparable to other studies and internationally in terms of the Bologna process. Practical relevance is also guaranteed through our Campus Lecture evenings, with lectures presented by prominent experts. We have strong ties nationally and across Europe.
Public Management is the first Austrian degree program tailored to suit the public sector, combining economics, law, politics and administration. A special focus is on sustainability.Great potential is lying underutilized in the public sector - not only in the field of energy supply but also in public procurement, public transport and in many other areas.
