Analysis of the images and technical evaluation with regard to the qualitative guidelines as well as application of post-processing possibilities and image evaluation in 2D and 3D; vascular anatomy, pathology.
Cardiovascular diseases including associated pathologies, basics of cardiopulmonary functional diagnostics, clinical manifestations, case demonstrations from a medical point of view, indications and contraindications of interventional radiology and cardiology.

Lecture contents

Basic knowledge of hygiene, angiographic materials and interventions; design, function and handling of special materials such as puncture and sluice systems, vascular catheters, guiding catheters, dilatation catheters, stents, coils and much more - according to the current state of knowledge in the field.
Sterile work and sterile assistance in invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures, including skin preparation for procedures, handling of instruments and materials.
