Competence Center INDICATION

INDICATION (INnovation hub for DIacnostiCAnd Therapeutic applicatIONs) plans, develops and validates therapeutic and diagnostic innovations in the field of medical-technical professions such as biomedical science, dietetics, occupational therapy and physiotherapy. We research and develop in areas such as movement science and biomedical research, as well as the assessment of food consumption and physical activity.

Research Focus

The acronym INDICATION bridges the gap between diagnostic and therapeutic applications. With regard to diagnostics, INDICATION should be understood as a subjective indication or result of an objective measurement and stand for the development, validation and networked use of outcome assessments. Regarding therapy, INDICATION is intended to symbolize the indication for carrying out therapeutic measures and for the evidence-based development, validation and networked application of therapeutic measures and eHealth applications. By complementing its range of methodological, professional and technical competences, including its research infrastructure, INDICATION positions itself as a Single Point of Contact for industry and academic cooperation partners as well as an interface to other departments at FH Campus Wien.
