Bereits zum sechsten Mal wurden am 4. November 2010 drei MitarbeiterInnen der FH Campus Wien mit dem offiziellen Titel "FH-ProfessorIn" ausgezeichnet (von links): Dipl.-Inform. Dipl.-Wirt. Inform. Matthias Peter Hudler, DI Martin Langer und Mag.a Dr.in Elisabeth Raab-Steiner. Rektor FH-Prof. DI Dr. Heinz Schmidt führte durch den Festakt und nahm die Verleihung vor, mit der die besonderen Leistungen der geehrten Personen in Lehre und Forschung an der FH Campus Wien anerkannt werden.

Das Studium "Molekulare Biotechnologie" tauchte bei der heurigen Langen Nacht der Forschung gemeinsam mit den BesucherInnen in die Welt der Fische ein – und damit auch in die Welt der Menschen. Denn ein Fisch funktioniert nach genau den gleichen biologischen Mechanismen wie der Mensch. So erlebten die BesucherInnen der Forschungsstation hautnah wie MitarbeiterInnen des Studiums Molekulare Biotechnologie anhand von Fischen, konkret dem Medaka-Fisch, die Funktion menschlicher Gene erforschen.

Dr. in Katharina Fleissner-Rösler, Bibliotheksleiterin, wurde am 27. Oktober vom oberösterreichischen Landeshauptmann Dr. Josef Pühringer mit dem Erwin Wenzl Preis 2008 ausgezeichnet. Katharina Fleissner-Rösler erhielt den Preis für ihre Dissertation an der Universität Wien zum Thema „Im strengen Archivdienste – Lebenswelten österreichischer Archivarinnen 1910 - 1960“. The courses offered by the Higher Education Institutions for Special Allied Health Professions and Midwives of Vienna have transferred to the University of Applied Sciences, FH Campus Wien. Up to now these were run by the Association of Viennese Hospitals (Wiener Krankenanstaltenverbund) in the form of academies. Beginning in autumn 2007 they will be offered as Bachelor degree programmes by the FH Campus Wien in cooperation with the Association of Viennese Hospitals.

300 highly qualified specialists for the construction industry graduated from the FH- degree programme “Civil Engineering and Construction Management” during the ten years of its existence. This was reason enough for a special celebration on 12th October. Students, graduates, lecturers and business representatives came, in order to look back and look forward with the degree programme.

Hans Tschürtz, Head of the Research and Development PLC (F&E GmbH) at the FH Campus Wien, presented on 13th September 2006 for the first time its F&E competencies. The aim of the event "campus meets company" was to present to the attending companies the idea of the knowledge hub in the field of engineering.
