Sport Facilities
The USI offers courses ranging from aerobics and football to taekwondo and yoga. Approximately 200 courses are offered at the University Sports Institute of Vienna at very reasonable prices. All students at universities, art schools and universities of applied sciences, as well as university employees and graduates can take part. Early registration is advisable as many courses are already booked up on the first day.

Student sport is a union of students for students with the goal of being physically active together. Membership is free, you only have to register on-line and choose the sport that you would like to practise.

Ice-skating rinks in Vienna
Open-air ice-skating rinks have existed in Vienna since 1909. The ice-skating rink Engelmann in Hernals is steeped in tradition and is considered to be the finest. Other well-known ice rinks are the Albert-Schultz-Eishalle in the 22nd district and the Eisring Süd in the 10th district.Engelmann

Among the most popular running routes are the main avenue and the forest paths Vienna Prater as well as on the Danube island (Donauinsel). Likewise, you can see many runners in Schönbrunner park, in the Augarten, in the Lainzer Zoo, around the Cobenzl and in the Vienna Woods.

Climbing

Summer toboggan run Hohe Wand Wiese
The summer toboggan run was opened in June 2006. With 25 toboggans, you can fly down the 850 metres of valley at up to 40 kilometres per hour.
