For foreign students

The “Intensive German Language Course” (up to 3 ECTS Credits) is held at the beginning of the winter semester and at the beginning of the summer semester, in order to help you improve your German and learn more about the host country and institution.

A language course during the semester is offered to visiting students during the semester (3 ECTS Credits). The times of classes will be announced by e-mail before the beginning of the semester.

Approximately 24 different languages are on offer to students, employees of the University of Vienna and to all others.

Course costs:

• for those receiving a study grant (students of Vienna University) 135 euros
• for students of other universities and universities of applied sciences and for employees of the University of Vienna 235 euros
• for external participants 310 euros
