Overview of your studies
The concern about supporting and reducing the restrictions on social inclusion of people of all ages is at the centre of social work.
As social workers you will work in differentiated relationship constellations. Your field of application will reach from individual assistance up to the examination of sociostructural questions in large systems. Basic protection, family welfare, migration, assistance for offenders, social spatial city and regional development are - for example - among your possible working areas.
A professionally consolidated approach is necessary for occupational practise. The aim of the degree course is for you to learn to act based on theory as well as being personally reflective. The degree course will teach you the relevant generalistic basics for this and detailed elective courses offer you the possibility to set your own individual focus during your education.
You will use your acquired theoretical knowledge during your placements and when working on R&D projects. The best qualifications that you can bring for successful studies are good communication skills and the ability to work in a team, tolerance as well as maximum stress and self-assertion ability.
