The application period for the academic year 2013/14 will be announced in time.
Which admission requirements are recognised?
- Higher education entrance qualification: School leaving certificate from a secondary school or a secondary technical school.

Important: documentary evidence of a pass in stage 2 English must be submitted before the start of the degree course.
However, we do acknowledge each “Studienberechtigungsprüfungen” (Qualification to Study examination) as condition for entrance to our degree course. Thus, if your application is unsuccessful, you have the possibility of selecting an alternative degree course at a university. Institutes, which offer courses for the preparation for the “Studienberechtigungsprüfung” can be found at the "Arbeiterkammer Wien.” (Chamber of Labour) - Relevant professional qualifications with auxiliary examinations: you have a professional qualification - graduation from a VET (Vocational Education and Training) school for occupations in the social services sector (at least three-years) or a VET school with emphasis on social work (at least three years), training/education in the psychosocial sector which is comparable to graduation from a VET school with emphasis on social work areas, within the health sector, with a health and a nursing diploma, as a professional carer for the aged or care-aide or graduation from training courses for youth work including at least one year of specialised relevant work or comparable education/training or a matriculation standard in social work from a German University of applied sciences (Fachhochschule).
The required auxiliary examinations cover an essay about a general topic, history 2 and English 2.

What do I need for the application?
For your application you will need a completed on-line application form. In the email received after the on-line application you will find all the important information you will need for your application.
When does the selection procedure take place?
The selection procedure will take place between March and June 2012. You will receive a separate invitation from us to the appropriate dates.
How does the selection procedure work?
The applicants will be invited to take part in the selection process which takes place on two dates. The first part is a written test, which consists of a matrix test, shows how well informed you are about the degree course and in which you will have to compose a written statement.
If you pass the first part well, we will invite you to a second date, when you will write a written statement and perform a personality and an intelligence test on the computer.
Then, if you did well in the second part, you will be invited to take part in an assessment centre, where you will have a one-on-one interview and led group discussion with members of the selection committee.
Can I get credits for courses that I have passed elsewhere?
Students with relevant professional experience have the possibility of having individual courses taken into account. The head of the academic section will decide each case on its individual merit however, only after a studying place has been offered.
