Building upon your professional experience, you will acquire professional and scientific skills in the areas of government and administration in an international context, integrated administrative management, economics, and budget, as well as communication and leadership.
- You will acquire and deepen your knowledge of the organizational structure and process organization of the European Union, the federal, provincial and municipal administrations, and state owned entities including their legal foundations. You will also learn to take political, economic and social determinants into consideration.
- The focus of the integrated administration management is on action-oriented and modernization approaches such as e-government, public governance, organizational development (change management) and quality management.
- In the field of economics and budget you will explore public service and budget law, human resource management, accounting and budgeting, the fundamentals of management such as controlling instruments as well as support schemes and public procurement. You will learn the differences between private sector and public financial systems and explore business and economic approaches as well as their application in public administration.
- You will acquire fundamental communication and interviewing techniques, conflict resolution skills, mediation skills and project management know-how.
- In the 6th semester you can choose to emphasize in either law or social sciences.

Practical Orientation
In the second semester you will complete an internship. It enables you to get comprehensive insight into your future career soon after the beginning of your studies. Furthermore, you will discuss your experience during the internship and analyse it in class in the following semesters. The experience gained will directly contribute to your further acquisition of knowledge.
