Overview of your training

The master further education course Radiological Technology with focus on RT-practical areas and processes starts autumn 2012.

The demands of radiological technologists at the interface between human beings, medicine and technology are increasing: large-scale medical equipment in radiological diagnostics and therapy, nuclear medicine and radiation therapy are developing rapidly and along with this the possibilities of multimodal applications. Alongside the routine activities and specialised duties in radiological technology the process optimisation of examination and treatment procedures, scientific, teaching and management duties are becoming ever more important.

You will expand and deepen your specialised knowledge in the practical areas of radiological technology in combination with focuses on the sectional image techniques, multi-modality, radiation protection as well as medical engineering and IT in medicine. Besides scientific skills you will also gain across-the-board skills in health, personnel and project management. Cooperations with scientists from the Medical University of Vienna additionally increase the quality of the education and open further doors. The course requires your interest in professional specialisation, science and the development of the radiological technologist profession.
