Overview of your training
In autumn 2011 the genuine Further Education Master Course “Occupational Therapy” will begin at the FH Campus Wien. Occupational Science has developed worldwide, particularly in the Anglo-American and northern European areas, into an independent scientific discipline. The objects of research are above all people’s everyday activities and that factors which have an influence on human empowerment. With this Master further education course you will participate in the development of occupational therapy research and occupational science in the German-speaking countries.
At the same time you will expand your skills in organisational, personnel and quality management and on the whole strengthen your theoretical foundation for the practice. Cooperations with scientists from the medical University of Vienna will additionally increase the quality of your education and open new possibilities for you.
In the future you will use your specialist and scientific expertise in clinical work, in particular also in new professional fields such as prevention and health promotion and in the management of institutions in the social and health sectors as well as in health science research. These functions require your interests in science, research, in the public positioning of occupational science research as well as in economic and organisational frameworks.
