Overview of your studies
Within the areas of radiological diagnostics, radiotherapy and nuclear medicine - radiological technical methods are used both for the examination and the therapy of patients in hospitals. The role of the radiological technologist in these core areas is to carry out these tasks competently and systematically according to quality standards.
As radiation safety expert you will be responsible for the protection of both patients and staff against ionising radiation. The high demands of the radiological medical technology require well-trained experts. As the interface between people, medicine and technology, you will contribute to the successful examination and treatment of illnesses.
The degree course will teach you the necessary skills for the operation of major medical imaging equipment and the post-processing of the acquired data. You will apply your acquired theoretical knowledge directly in professional practical placements. These tasks require a basic understanding of physical-technical procedures, an interest in medicine, a logical-analytical approach and good social skills.
