As an applicant you can apply on-line for the degree programme within the application period. After completion of the on-line application form (available in german only) you will receive an email with all further information relevant to the selection process.

Until when can I register?
The application period for the academic year 2012/13 runs from 19th February until 18th March 2012.
Which admission requirements are recognised?
- Higher education entrance qualification: School leaving certificate from a secondary school or a secondary technical school.
- Equivalent foreign certification: the equivalence arises from international-law agreements, validation or in individual cases a decision by the head of the academic section.
- “Berufsreifeprüfung” (Secondary School Vocational Certificate) or “Studienberechtigungsprüfung” (Qualification to Study examination) for biology. Institutes, which offer courses for the preparation for the “Studienberechtigungsprüfung” can be found at the “Arbeiterkammer Wien” (Chamber of Labour).
- Relevant professional qualifications and the necessary auxiliary examinations: you have acquired the professional qualifications by graduating with a diploma in nursing, in clinical assistance or you graduated as an orthopaedic technician.
- Documentary evidence of a pass in stage 1 English must be submitted before the start of the degree course.
- Additional: A first-aid qualification - at least 30 hours - is to be documented after acceptance to the course before the course begins.
What do I need for the application?
For your application you will need a completed on-line application form. In the email received after the on-line application you will find all the important information you will need for your application. You can download the application form between 19th February and 18th March 2012 on the website.
When will the selection process take place ?
The written test for the academic year 2012/13 takes place 24th March 2012, the practical test and the interviews will probably take place from April to May 2012.
How does the selection process work?
The first part of the selection process is a written test. After a positively completed test you take part in the personal interview process, which consists of a role-play and an interview. You will be notified of the dates from mid-April to mid-May.
How can I shorten my study time?
If you are a student with relevant professional experience you have the possibility of having individual courses taken into account. The head of the academic section will decide each case on its individual merit.
