Objective of the course

By the end of the course, students will be able to
ask questions about the mother's medical and past obstetrical history.
answer general questions to do with pregnancy.
explain which tests need to be done.
deal with common complaints during pregnancy.
give advice on nutrituon during pregnancy.
give instructions on how to do various exercises.

Prerequisites

General knowledge according to the Austrian high school curriculum - Englisch 1

Course contents

Basics: revision of grammatical structures/functional language in context and when relevant, developing general and specialist terminology
Speaking: role plays and student-centred speaking activities
Writing: summarising specialist texts, note-taking
Reading/listening: specialist texts
