Objective of the course
Students will be able to identify the process of psychosocial change and growth concerning pregnancy, birth and transition to new family dynamics.
Students will be familiar with definitions and stages of pregnancy, physical and mental processes of adaptation, worldly and psychosocial influences on the process of pregnancy, history, development and modes of antenatal preparation classes

Definition and stages of pregnancy
physical and mental process of adaptation to changes,
worldly and psychosocial influences on the process of pregnancy (including gender and cross – cultural aspects)
Change of woman and man concerning their role and identity,
Concept of childhood from the perspective of the mother – to – be ,
experience of pregnancy from the perspective of a woman and her family,
development and change of family structures, prenatal psychology,
sexuality during pregnancy
