Overview of your studies
The wrong eating and drinking habits can make you ill. Dietologists assume the important task of preventive consultation and therapy of nutrition-dependent illnesses.
The dietician's responsibilities range from educating in schools and kindergartens, the treatment of over-weight patients, nutrition therapy before and after operations to changes in diet for example for diabetics and Allergy sufferers.
Alongside nutrition science and food service management the degree course Dietetics will also teach you medical and scientific fundamentals as well as educational and marketing skills, which you will learn to apply in a target-group oriented way. You will use the knowledge that you acquire during your studies in various placements and during work in R&D projects. Personal nutrition awareness is a precondition for successful studies as well as for your career however medical, human and scientific interest and the joy in interacting with people are also demanded.
