Overview of your studies
Biomedical Science forms an interface between clinical areas and laboratory analytics as well as between medicine, natural sciences and technical disciplines. Biomedical Scientists make an important contribution in laboratories of the health service for prevention, diagnostic identification, process control, therapy monitoring and rehabilitation.
Besides the health care sector ever more well-trained analysts are needed in the biopharmaceutical industry. The degree course prepares you to plan and carry out the very different laboratory analysis processes at all stages.
Special attention is paid to the application of modern analysis technologies, their process and quality management know-how as well as a specialisation of your choice. You will use your acquired theoretical knowledge during internships and while working on research and development projects. These tasks require not only your interest in medicine and technology but also careful work, good planning skills and the ability to work in a team.
