In the year 2007 the imbedding of the Higher Education Institutions for Special Allied Health Professions (MTDs) and Midwives into the FH Campus Wien took place. Previously, the MTDs and midwives' training were run as academies of the city Vienna. From autumn 2007 they started with new curricula as University of Applied Sciences bachelor degree programmes.

The FH Campus Wien will continue to work in close cooperation with the Association of Viennese Hospitals (KAV).

At "Biomedical Laboratory Science" a cooperation with the KAV allows for comprehensive associated industry placements.
