Objective of the course
The students reflect their own conversation behavior (talking, listening); they are able to express him or herself clearly, are able to listen correctly, are able to reproduce heard, experienced and information; they know about supporting and hindering conversation behavior; they are prepared to give and take constructive feedback in the group; they are able to deal sensible with the image of the self and of the other; they recognize group processes; they recognize and understand the problems with leadership and authority: they use different conversation-techniques, are aware of the meaning of emotion, empathy and appreciation; they are able to develop different questioning techniques; are aware of management failure, distinguishing conflicts in groups, provide solution-oriented strategies, are familiar with mediation as conflict resolution method; they know and accept the cultural and gender-specific otherness of their employees, and develop competencies for their own sphere of activity, know about the basic approaches of domestic dismissal.

Course contents
Conversation behavior: support and obstacles in development of conversational relationship; rhetorical basics: Use of different conversation- and questioning techniques, meetings, different types of conversation, strategies of feedback, body language signals, analyses of the image of the self and of the other; group processes: stages of group development, position in the group.
