Your Master’s Degree Program at a Glance
Communicating, intelligent microcontrollers which are installed in electronic devices are the focus of the master’s degree program in Embedded Systems Engineering. These networked microcomputers can control processes and exchange information over wired or wireless communication channels. They are used in building automation, automobiles and aircraft and sensor/actuator networks for monitoring and control of industrial processes. They can also be used in the medical field, for example in the home care of patients or the elderly or in the future for the production of “smart” prostheses.
In the master's degree program you will acquire specific knowledge about electronic interfaces, computer science, signal processing and communication technologies. You will deepen your technical know-how on the hardware, software and system levels and acquire additional social and management skills. The program will promote your analytical and systematic thinking skills and your ability to establish relationships between different disciplines.
