Hardware, software, signal processing and networking technologies know-how is the focus of your master’s degree program. In addition, you will acquire social and management skills.
- Hardware will include hardware design and simulation techniques for the development of digital circuits as well as sensors and actuators as interfaces to the process periphery. In the software module you will learn more about low-level programming and the use of real-time operating systems. Digital signal processing for the processing of sensor signals and the technologies for the networking of small computers will also be explored.
- Courses on fault-tolerant systems will focus on safety critical applications.
- You can choose to emphasize in industrial automation or communication technologies. In choosing your emphasis, you will decide whether to specialize in local, mobile, or global networking technologies.
- In the personality development area, the focus will be on social skills, from communication behavior to leadership and management know-how.
Studying in Vienna - The Center of Europe
Vienna is an internationally recognized university location where contacts are made and networks are built. Internationalization is an ongoing process to which the staff at the FH Campus Wien are highly devoted: Internships, study abroad or cross-border collaboration on projects. It is up to you to take advantage of these opportunities.Practical Orientation
Working in the field, you will put what you have learned in theory, into practice. You will also be given the opportunity to participate in research and development (R&D) projects, thus engaging in an active exchange between science and practice at the university. The master’s degree program also has its own “IT security competence team” that works closely with companies in the industry. The research focus is on the manipulation and tap-proof transmission of data.Secretariat B.3.20
