Overview of your studies
Sustainability is geared to the needs of people and the environment, it is forward-looking and is also ever more demanded in the construction sector - a continuous market growth is to be expected. “Sustainable construction” requires cross-linking of the complex network of technical, ecological, economic and social aspects.
The master degree programme trains highly qualified all-round civil engineers, who are suitable for leading positions in all specialist areas, from the revitalisation and urban redevelopment via ecological design, conception and erection of structural buildings to the recycling of building materials.
Besides an expansion of your engineering science-oriented basics in engineering and theory of structural engineering, you will pursue specialist fields during your education, in particular in the areas of alternative construction methods for sustainable buildings, environmental law, redevelopment technology, construction science and construction ecology. The associated tasks require interdisciplinary thinking and excellent problem-solving skills as well as civil engineering knowledge.
