Main focus of your studies

• Apart from theoretically consolidated basic knowledge you will develop the necessary talents to successfully convert this knowledge into practice.
  
  
• In the first three semesters you will consolidate and extend your engineering science-oriented fundamentals in the core areas of civil engineering and structural engineering theory. In the fourth semester you will write a diploma thesis and take the diploma examination.
  
  
• You will choose an individually tailored specialisation area particularly in the fields of alternative construction methods for sustainable buildings, environmental law, redevelopment technology, construction science and construction ecology.
  
  
• As well as job-specific skills, your social skills, your communication skills and your knowledge of technical English will be systematically promoted. The fundamentals of business management and law round-off your education.

The part-time organisation of the degree programme offers you the opportunity to combine career and studies. This way you can collect valuable practical experience in civil engineering. Furthermore, through your work in research and development projects (R&D) you will become acquainted with the interaction between research and its practical applications at the FH Campus Wien at close quarters.
