Overview of your studies
An optimal infrastructure is crucial for the competitive power of a business location. Besides the home market, there is a growing demand for large building projects particularly in the new eastern European Union states.
In this context Vienna has become a hub in Europe. This is reflected strongly in the current economic upswing here in the construction industry. The Master degree programme is deliberately coordinated to this increased demand of the construction industry and the sub-contract trade for comprehensively trained civil engineers.
Our graduates assume management positions in all specialist areas of civil engineering and infrastructure construction. They are involved in the construction of roads, railways, bridges, tunnels, landfill sites and hydraulic engineering projects. At the centre of construction management is the project execution - including the planning, costing and contractual arrangements.
Complex planning and coordination tasks demand personal qualities such as decision-making authority, sense of responsibility, professional time management and team skills as well as consolidated civil engineering and construction management skills.
