Programme Overview
The unique characteristics of the living cell are what make the process technologies different from others, be it in the production of medications, the brewing of beer, or the production of laundry detergent. Experts for bioprocess technology are involved in the creation of many products and plants in the biopharmaceutical industry, industrial biotechnology, the food industry, and environmental technology. They plan, develop and implement new biotechnological production processes. Quality management and quality assurance are important parameters in their work and are also emphasized in the degree programme. Your knowledge portfolio is rounded out by courses in plant engineering, plant design, control technology and pharmaceutical sciences. The know-how in business, management and law gained through your education will qualify you for additional leadership positions in biotechnology. The programme will promote your analytical and process-oriented thinking skills, your ability to solve problems, your social competence and outstanding knowledge of the English language.
