The Vienna Institute for Safety & Systems Engineering (VISSE) at FH Campus Wien is a partner for industry and commerce in the areas of applied research and development.

It makes its expertise and its network of excellence available to businesses and other institutions. VISSE specialises in the development of safety-related systems. The creation of such systems in compliance with applicable safety standards and guidelines (e.g. IEC61508, ISO26262) requires applying specific practices at process level as well as specialised know-how in technical realisation.

VISSE orients its research and development to activities on system safety issues and consists of two teams of excellence. Hereby, the Safety Competence Center Vienna focuses on the process level, while the Safety Network Engineering team concentrates on the technical implementation of safety-related systems.
