Cooperations

Since April 2011 the Competence Centre for IT-Security is an associated member of AARIT, the Austrian Association for Research in IT.

Since 2011 a research collaboration with the Fraunhofer ESK takes place on the topic of secure wireless sensor networks. Furthermore, the FH Campus Wien offers topics for bachelor and master theses in cooperation with the Fraunhofer ESK in Munich.

The Bavarian IT Security & Safety Cluster is an alliance of IT business companies and organisations utilising security technologies, as well as universities, institutes for continuing education, and legal offices. The Competence Centre for IT-Security is a Cluster member since June 2009.

Currently a research cooperation with Prof. Dr. Lory from the faculty for business informatics of the university of Regensburg analyses the applicability of secure multiparty computations in the context of sensor networks.

Together with the Laboratory of Algorithmics, Cryptology and Security (LACS) of the university of Luxembourg the Competence Centre for IT-Security investigates efficient cryptographic primitives for mobile devices.

The FH Campus Wien is a CCNA Security Academy since November 2009 and will soon start to offer Cisco courses.

The Competence Centre for IT-Security is supported by the MA27 - EU-Strategie und Wirtschaftsentwicklung - in the course of the funding programme "Stiftungsprofessuren und Kompetenzteams für die Wiener Fachhochschul-Ausbildungen".
